"Zambia Focus Week" at Engedi.
On 24th February 2012, I attended an evening function at Engedi Wesleyan Church. The function was part of Zambia focus week which Engedi Wesleyan Church holds once every year. This year the focus was on HIV/AIDS in Zambia. Zambia is one of the mission fields that Engedi supports. I was invited to share some few thoughts about mission and what it means to be the "hands a& feet of Christ" in global mission. It was an honor to share my experience and passion on this subject.

The evening and atmosphere at Engedi was charged with Zambian decorations, 'chitenge' materials ( a clothe commonly worn by Zambian women), music and the icing of the evening was the Zambian staple meal "Nisima" which was served for dinner. For a moment I felt like I was actually home in Zambia, the only difference was that I was the only black guy, besides another black guy -Victor from Kenya who were present. I am grateful to Terra - the American missionary to Zambia from Engedi who invited me to give a few key thoughts on mission. May I also say am grateful for the work that Engedi is doing in Zambia; coincidentally, the region in Zambia where Engedi is doing its mission work is among my tribesmen -the "Tonga" people i.e. in Choma and Kalomo, indeed God works in mysterious ways. God bless American and Engedi and the work they are doing in the Lord's Vineyard in Zambia.
